NDi Media has been creating broadcast quality online family entertainment since 2001. We have an industry-wide reputation for creating original character-based content and superior graphic design. In addition, we have a demonstrated expertise in music games with millions of players worldwide. Our clients and partners include National Geographic, PBS, Warner Bros., Discovery, Scholastic, Hit Entertainment, American Greetings, Nickelodeon and Teletoon.

Management Team

With over 30 years in the entertainment and media industries, Neil has developed a significant expertise in production, marketing and licensing. In 2001, Neil co-founded NDi Media. As President he is currently involved in all aspects of the business, particularly business development and financing. Over the years NDi has seen its share of successes including 2 Gemini Awards for best websites (www.arcticmission.com, www.wumpasworld.com), 2 Brandon Hall Excellence in e-Learning Awards, a Canadian New Media Award, and most recently, The Parent’s Choice Award (http://pbskids.org/mamamirabelle). NDi enjoys long term relationships with several international clients including: Nickelodeon, PBS, National Geographic, Warner Bros., Scholastic, Discovery, Cosmeo, CBC, Corus, HIT Entertainment and American Greetings.
A producer, writer and director, Michael has been involved in the multimedia and communications industries for over 30 years, including a 10 year stint from 1979 to 1989 when he was responsible for all design and production at Canadair Ltd., later Bombardier Aerospace. From 1989 to 2001 he headed Productions Michael Rixon, a multimedia production company that produced 1000s of products - ranging from video walls and multi-media projections to interactive DVDs - for the marketing, trade show and learning sectors. In 2001, he joined with Neil Smolar to found NDi Media where he has produced projects for M. D. Anderson, Bombardier Aerospace, National Geographic and Scholastic among many others.
Paul joined NDi as Director of Finance in 2001 and instilled responsible fiscal management practices throughout the company. In 2007 he took on the additional role of Director of Operations, responsible for the hands on management of the production team. Since then, he has streamlined the operation of the production studio and re-focused it on core areas of expertise. He has also implemented processes and procedures that have helped assure the quality and timeliness of NDi’s productions. Paul has a BComm from McGill University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Explore the African savanna and the wonders of the animal world with Mama Mirabelle! An elephant adventurer, Mama shares her experiences and live-action movies of the natural world. Accompanied by a cast of playful animals, preschoolers can have fun playing games while learning valuable lessons.
Arctic Mission is an online documentary about global warming. Visitors are offered the opportunity to set sail with the mission leader and explore the Arctic. It includes breathtaking high-def videos, animated maps, icons with informative pop-ups, clickable images, several games, and more. Created and produced by NDi Media.
NDi Media Wumpa’s World is an immersive website for preschoolers hosted by a small band of friends living within the Arctic Circle. The loving support of Wumpa the Walrus, Tiguak the Polar Bear, and Qitu the Seal make this beautiful landscape the perfect place for young children to play. Through a variety of games, preschoolers learn about friendship, community and courage while exploring life in the Great North. Ages 3 to 5. Wumpa’s World 3: A New Mission, is currently in production. Licenses have been sold to PBS and Corus Entertainment.
Vidfest Award
Teletoon The Silverwing website is a 13 level game which allows children to explore the underlying mythology of this action adventure television program. Each level of the continuing quest was originally unveiled online to coincide with the airing of an episode of Silverwing: The Series.

Brady’s Beasts is an adventure/quest requiring both logic and deduction. The game features an open and immersive environment where players take control of Brady as he searches high and low to complete the quest: finding, taming and bringing back the most monsters. Ages 9 to 24
